About me
Danielle Nadine Pierre
Honours Bachelor of Arts – Communication Studies; Research Analyst Postgraduate Certificate; Master of Design (candidate)
I live, work, and study in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Tkaronto, Treaty 13 – Toronto Purchase). My research methods include grounded theory, systems thinking, strategic foresight, critical analysis, relationality, reflexivity, and auto-ethnography.
I write to reflect on my own learning experiences and to share my expertise as a qualitative researcher and practitioner of strategic foresight, design-thinking, and systems change. I work independently as a management consultant for scientific research and development, and specialized design. I am an expert in civil society, socio-cultural policy and public service.
Another way to support my independent work is by showing your support with a small gift of appreciation. Kind of like buying me a coffee or a sweet treat.
Your generosity keeps me going.
I am sharing actionable insights from action research and co-design experiences that cut through ambiguity and uncertainty. My insights come from:
my research and professional experiences,
knowledge using futurism and strategic foresight to drive systemic change, and
emerging ideas in design and cultural discourse.
Within this self-publication you will find my long-form learning reflections from the field, examples of practice, methodological descriptions, and the resultant analyses. My professional and graduate work explores the use of futures scenarios, narrative, and co-design for self-empowerment and community change.
Theory-to-Practice
I hope for this to become a space for you and I to think about the future differently. Whether you're a fellow researcher, policy professional, designer, or simply curious about futurism and systems change, I hope you'll join the conversation.
